What is Our Focus
  The purpose of the Forum for Advanced Security Technologies (FAST) is to research and develop security technologies for the organizations in public and private sector. The Forum will pursue these objectives by collaborating and sharing resources with these organizations.
Collaborate on research, develop and implementation of cutting edge security technologies that include software (e.g. integration and analysis software) as well as hardware (e.g. networking hardware)
Engaging with the local, state and federal agencies to research and develop solutions.
Engaging with the organizations in the private industry to research, develop and support their security technology needs.
Collaborating with other organizations on grants.
Publish in the leading journals on security technology related topics
Organizing seminars on security technologies
Organizing academic workshops
Organizing round tables on security technologies
Offering University seminars through extended education.
Implementing special projects related to the security technologies.
What Have We Done So Far
  We have developed a prototype of a web based system for law enforcement with the DOJ personnel in the State of Wisconsin
Wireless as well as on-line
Requirements gathered using a survey instrument
Fully implemented by the CSUF students and staff
Integrating Pattern Recognition Basic Mathematical Models
Integrating Social Network Analysis to recognize cohesive groups in seemingly unrelated bunch of people.
Presentations to Orange County Sheriffs department, local businesses, Family Business Council Members, Congressman Christopher Cox
What Is Our Focus Right Now
  Advisory Board Meetings
Pursue grants at the federal, State, local, and private industry levels
Work with local businesses to help them with their information technology issues C include security related technology exclusively or integrated in the overall solution.
Some agencies that we are approaching C Environmental Protection Agency, Local Police Departments, Department of Defense, Local Businesses, Local Agencies
Kick Start research projects on various topics
Logistics/Supply Chain Management and Security Concerns Database Security
Crime Analysis and Reporting
Utilizing non-critical personnel during emergency using wireless technology
